WELCOME TO OSLODear Colleagues and Friends
In spite of severe frost and snow as well in Oslo as in larger parts of Europe, it is a fact that in three months’ time we look forward to welcome you to Oslo, the city hopefully dressed in the latest fashions of May foliage.
In this second newsletter you will find information about attendance fees for the 66th Fiaf Congress as well as the JTS. We have not added a paper version of the hotel list, as you will find extensive information about the hotels by opening the Oslo Map page of the Congress Web. You will also be able to start the registration and booking processes.
As we pointed out in Newsletter No1, the congress will take place at the National Library of Norway and the Norwegian Film Institute. The JTS will take place at the Klingenberg Cinema.
On Monday May 3rd you will be invited to a reception at Oslo Town Hall where we will be the guests of the Mayor of Oslo. Oslo Town Hall is renowned for its artwork and beautiful decorations.
Please look up the Fiaf Oslo Congress Web from time to time, as messages and pieces of news are going to appear there along the way.
And – Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information if you have any doubts or questions.
We wish that your stay in Oslo will be a spur to further development in the field of sound and image archiving – and simply an unforgettable experience.
On behalf of the Norwegian organizing committee
