The future of digital cinema - how can projection of photographic film be maintained in a digital environment ?
Friday, June 10 - 09.00 amIn this additional session, Mr. Torkell Sætervadet, consultant for cinema design and technology, will provide an insight into the current state of the transition to digital projection with a focus on the technical and practical challenges for commercial as well as archive cinemas. Sætervadet will seek to address how projection of photographic film can be maintained in a completely digital environment. The FIAF publication, The Advanced Projection Manual, will also be presented during this session
